Urvashi Dance was founded in 2014 by Sulakshana Das with a view of providing quality dance education with high class, professional infrastructure, affordably, which was essentially missing for a middle-class family in Kolkata. Today, Urvashi Dance is one of the better known names for high quality dance education, has been featured on almost every lifestyle TV channel and newspaper as the best in its field and has centres at multiple locations in the city. It stands as Kolkata’s most visible dance institute on the Internet and also one with the most social appeal/interaction.

Urvashi Dance is also the preferred destination for foreigners visiting India interested in learning about Bollywood and Indian Folk and Classical dance forms like Dandia. Urvashi Dance Academy’s 2 hour dance session on Bollywood, Dandia and elements of Hip Hop dance has been made popular by various travel websites.
